In cosmetically good condition, responsive autofocus control and zoom, diaphragm operates correctly; the optics are clear* and fungus free but have a fault which is delivering rather ethereal soft focus effect. [see photo taken on a Nikon 7100]

It is a fault but some might find it creative so selling as is

The Nikon AF Mount, is compatible with most Nikon film and modern digital cameras although functionality may vary. It will not fit the mirrorless Z mount cameras without an adapter

Please bear in mind that many of the items in my listings are over 30 years old and can be a little delicate.

I do not replace camera light seals.  I do however offer this service for an additional charge if required

Out of date unprocessed film is sold at the buyers risk and I do not accept any responsibility for the results of such film when processed.

Photographs are there to show the external condition of the item faults such as wear, scratches dents or bits missing if clearly shown in the photo are not necessarily included in the description as I regard the photographs as part of the description.  So check them carefully.

*A brand new lens will be absolutely clear older lenses will have some specks of internal dust. Describing as clear in this context is to differentiate between old lenses with serious internal haze, fungus or wear to outer coatings that will affect lens performance

**When buying old lenses for modern digital cameras please check compatibility before purchasing.  Whilst most older lenses will fit your camera and work well in a manual or semi automatic mode you may need to set your camera controls to recognise lenses that have no electronic information transfer connections.  It is impossible for me to know how an old lens will work with every camera so whilst I am happy to accept returns in such circumstances this will not include postage.

***In most cases digital cameras are supplied without batteries or media cards.  Where applicable chargers, software and other ancilliaries and accessories are NOT supplied unless included in the photographs or description.

**** Flash guns: When using older flash guns with modern digital cameras it is the buyers responsibility to check compatibility of output trigger voltages. I DO NOT accept any responsibility for damage caused by use of inappropriate equipment.

DEFINITIONS:

For Parts and Not Working:  It doesn't work!  Good for display purposes especially if cosmetically good or for parts to make another one work.

Untested:  I have no way of checking whether it works or not usually because I don't have the type of battery or other component to enable testing.  This is a bit better that FPNW because it MAY work but its your risk.

Average or Fair Condition:  Its a bit worn, scuffed and knocked about but works and is usuable. I often also describe as 'scruffy'

Good Condition: In the context of its age its got a few scuffs and wear marks cosmetically and showing a bit of use mechanically might be a little loose, but fully working and useable.

Very Good Condition:  It all works it is clean and tidy showing only slight signs of use and age coated surfaces, plastic areas show little sign of abrasion, with lenses the glass is clear again subject to the odd specks of dust acquired through age that do not affect performance.

Excellent / Superb / Mint:  showing little or no sign of use at all, fully working.  No rubbing on corners or brassing of black coatings. With lenses glass is exceptionally clear although may still have some specks of dust, focus tight, diaphragm snappy responive and fresh and aperture clicks are nice and tight.

Mixed descriptions: Sometimes items have a fault but are otherwise good to excellent.  Usually in this case I use the word 'general' for example a really nice lens in good condition but with a stuck diaphragm would be described as 'In good general condition but with a stuck diaphragm'. So it is cosmetically good the focus and glass are ok its just the diaphragm that needs attention.  To people with the ability to fix the problem these items usually offer great value for money.  Fixed its a great item.
